HOPE

Daily u come across many quacks, the ‘baba bangali’s’ claimin to cure terminal cancers and AIDS... all of them have flourishing business… I mean people knw tht while the world is spendin millions n billions of dollars tryin to find a cure for these diseases but still they go to these quacks… I was wonderin wht makes them go…??? Well I realized that its HOPE tht makes them go to these quacks n get themselves fooled… people with terminal diseases know tht they are goin to die soon… and its human nature to want to live more.. so whnever they see such ads statin cures for cancer n HIV, a HOPE arises in their minds… a HOPE tht maybe they might get cured.. a HOPE tht maybe the babas medicine may do some miracle and cure them…
I came across a known person whos suffering from a terminal disease.. he came to us askin our opinion about one such baba frm a distant place claimin to cure such terminal diseases with herbs… I studied the persons face… behind the pitiful face were 2 reactions waitin… I guessed… there was HOPE lurkin behind… he was waitin for me to say yes… if I said yes then there would be happiness all over his face…n if I replied in negative then sadness… I thought for a moment n said yes… yes because I wanted him to experience more happiness than sadness in whtever days he has got to live… he would have HOPE by his side until he takes tht babas medicines… tht HOPE will bring happiness on his face…
So indirectly I too ended up supporting the quack baba… I knew tht baba was goin to pocket money playin with patients feelings… but I guess all that money was worth as it brought a HOPE back into the patient and with HOPE came HAPPINESS…!!!

'HORN'less driving

For last couple of days my cars horn went silent… n lazy as I am I drove around without any horn in my car… I was expecting a bad time with the traffic… but to my surprise I didn’t at all encounter any difficulty… I mean wht I experienced was, because there was no horn I as it is drove with a reduced speed…and it wasn’t very difficult drivin around…
Tht time I realized how much noise pollution we increase because of constant honking… everyone is in a hurry to reach their destined place… if at all, the horns of all cars were to be banned then we would have a safer quiter city… safer because ppl wont drive fast…
I would ask all the readers of this blog to try n compete with urself… count the number of times u blow the horn everyday when u drive… and try and reduce the number each day… try to minimize blowin horns… even u will realize what I experienced… at the end of the day if u ‘win’ am sure there will be a smile across ur face…a smile of content… content that u have started contributing towards a noiseless city…
And today the garagewala fixed the horn… n to my surprise he replaced it with a scooter or bike horn which goes “peeeeeeeep” everytime I blow it…n tht too at the lowest decibel… well thts one more way of reducing noise pollution J
